HISTORY
The Holy-shrine Arulmigu Adhiparasakthi Siddhar Peedam is situated at Melmaruvathur, Tamil Nadu, which is 92 kms south of Chennai on the NH-45. This place is being considered as holy for the past 2000 years. In this is place where 21 Siddhars, men and women, have their Jeeva Samadhi. These Siddhars belong to various religions. This is the Holy Land where a lady Siddhar resides and blesses.
The prime objective for which the Peedam strives is “The cult of Sakthi” should be upheld and “Each and every one’s grievance should be removed”.
The Siddhar Peedam is visited and worshiped by thousands of devotees daily and lakhs and lakhs during festival days.
His Holiness Bangaru Adigalar is the living incarnation of goddess Adhiparasakthi. He is the upholder of “Dharma in this Kaliyuga, the living God who has shown by practice that Spirituality is the blend of Devotion and Duty.
Duty is service to the deprived and to the downtrodden.
His objective is to carry spirituality to doorsteps of common man so that the human race as a whole is elevated.

WEEKLY WORSHIPPING CENTRES (MANDRAMS)
Weekly worshipping centres affiliated to the Trust function throughout the country and also abroad (Malaysia, Singapore, Africa, France, U.K., U.S.A., etc). (There are 5000 and odd such worshipping centres spread around the world. These centres guide the devotees through weekly prayers in the homes of distressed families in order to alleviate their suffering. And also nearly 50 siddhar sakthi peedams affiliated to the Trust are functioning throughout the State.

Renovating dilapidated temples
Distributing food and clothing to families affected by ravages of nature

Central Bank of India and its Extension Counters one at Melmaruvathur College Campus and another at Kalavai College Campus. State Bank of India with ATM Counter. Kancheepuram Central Co-operative Banks, Tamil Nadu Mercantile Bank etc are serving the Student, Staff and public.
As the temple is located on National Highway the bus stopping at Melmaruvathur, facilitates the movement of the devotees from any part of the country and there is a bus stand coming up soon in Melmaruvathur.
There are two petrol bunks and Indian Oil Corporation and Bharat Petroleum are serving the vehicles visiting the temple.
To render the service to the animals of nearby villages, University Training and Research Centre, Tamil Nadu University for Veterinary and Animal Sciences is functioning with in the temple area.
To help the public in day to day life, facilities like Lodging ,marriage choultry and hotels are also available .

Since its inception in 1986, the Adhiparasakthi Hospital has grown to a large extent and functioning as center for excellence in imparting quality care at primary level as well as at advanced level. Accepting the social responsibilities of treating poor and economically backward patients, this Hospital is providing free medical care to both inpatients and outpatients.
The Adhiparasakthi Hospital is rendering free medical services to the people of Melmaruvathur as well as, to the surrounding villages of around 525. The poor and the downtrodden numbering near by two thousands people are getting treated free of cost daily.
